We're a friendly bunch and we're proud of our easy going nature and the relaxed atmosphere of our Club. We always make everyone feel welcome, regardless of ability and no one gets left behind 🙂

Get out, get fit, and get muddy!

– Route Set By Mike –

Springtime session around Mike’s Poldice explorer. Plenty of lines through the valley including Pram Line, Poison, Original Ridge, Secret Valley, Hidden Garden, and a bit of XC around Goon Gumpas. There will be some unavoidable jumps and be sure you’re confident with steep rocky downhills. There will be lots of climbing (1500 to 2000ft) and as usual no pushing up allowed! Easter Saturday. Early start.

From Truro, take the A39 towards Falmouth. Head down the dual carriageway from Carnon Downs and at the bottom of the hill (Devoran), take the 3rd exit on the roundabout signposted to Bissoe.
Go straight over the first crossroads and follow for about 2 miles into Bissoe. Pass Bissoe Cycle Hire on the right, go over the bridge and after 200 yds, turn right opposite the garage (signed to United Downs). Twelveheads layby is on the right after about ¾ mile.

Be afraid ... be very afraid!

About Cornwall MTB

The Club is located around the Central/Truro area in Cornwall and we love Mountain Biking. We ride at various locations throughout the county and the routes are set by a different group member each week.  We usually meet on a Sunday (occasionally a Saturday) and the upcoming rides are always listed here our site.

Each ride is graded between 1 and 5 and many of the rides are suitable for all abilities. However, please bear in mind that each ride is likely to have some variety, and the difficulty level can be subjective. Here’s a general guide to help you decide if a ride is suitable or not:

  • 1 - Smooth and flatish
  • 2 - General bridleways
  • 3 - Trail riding, with occasional steep, rocky or rooty sections
  • 4 - More technical trail riding with plenty of steep, rocky or rooty sections
  • 5 - Relentless steep downhills or general exposed technical riding
If you have any questions about the club, then feel free to send us an email. You can also find us on Facebook where you’ll get plenty of up to date information and friendly banter! Details of membership can be found on the Club Info page.
